My grandmother's name was Elly Schnittlinger and she emmigrated to Ohio around WWII. Could she be the Elly you are looking for?

Yes, Walter was my grandmothers youngest brother. I believe he died in a camp with his mother.

My grandmother, Elly, was the half sister of Walter and Kurt(I think was his name). Kurt went to S.America and then to Mexico. Ellys mom's name was Josephine - her step moms name was Marie.
