Csaba: Re: schwanauer
Hi!

Some of my Grandma's ancestors were Schwannauer.
The youngest among them was Emma S. (born 1866, died 1944)
Her father was Matyas (Matthias) S. (b. 1825, d. 1874)
If you may be member of this Schwannauer-family, pls email me!
(esz-ki-mo -a-t- freemail -d-o-t- hu)

schwanauer: Re: schwanauer
Hello Csaba,

I am very happy to hear from you.
My Father's name used to be Schwannauer before he
shortened it to Schwanauer.
You have a lot of cousins living close to Stuttgart,
some in england and still some in the USA.
My grand father Georg Schwanauer changed his name from
Schwannauer after the first WAR. He had 12 children.
So Csaba you do have a lot of living relatives.

Csaba: Re: schwanauer
Hello Franz!

Thanks for your message!!

I am recently trying to build up my family-tree.

My Schwan(n)auer ancestors lived in Zsambek. I was lucky to get lots of "matricula" data about the village.
If we are blood-relatives you must be origined from Zsambek as well. (it is very rare name in Hungary - it seams that all Schwannauers lived in Zsambek are descendants of one pair.)

If so pls write me the name/birthdate/parents-children name of your last known ancestors who may lived in Hungary/Zsambek - so I can check who close is our blood-relationship!
(you can write directly to my email address (esz-ki-mo at freemail dot hu) as well.

I hope to hear about you soon!

Csaba

Csaba: Re: schwanauer
Hi Franz,

I think I found your Grandpa in the book about Zsambek!

I found a Franz S. who had 12 children and did not died in Zsambek! ( so he may emigrated to abroad)

Based on the data your father must be Franz or Joseph (they were brothers) and was born in 1914 or 1915.

If it right pls write me!
(I can send you the tree of our S. ancestors back to XVIII. century!)

Bye,

Csaba

János: Re: schwanauer
Hello Schwan(n)auers! There is also one Schwannauer family in Nagytétény (22nd district of Budapest); they may also hail from (almost)neighbouring Zsámbék. They must have been living here quite long as there is a roadside "Denkmal" (=Christ on the cross)from the very early 1900's in Nagytétény, erected by a Schwannauer according to its inscription!
