seydl: családfa
If anyone is interested in Seydl family, write me. I have a familytree description of the seydl family. It was in old spoken German and it was translated also in Hungarian. In this papers the story starts in 1301.

Ha bárkit kutat a Seydl családról, esetleg leszármazotta, szívesen segítek. A családi örökség között találtam egy leírást, mely a családot 1301-re vezeti vissza. Ezenkívül kb. 150 évre visszamenően elég részletesen megvan a seydl családfa persze tőlem visszamenőleg :-)

anton seidl: Re: családfa
Our family is of Bavarian extraction. We descend from
a family named Seydel who migrated from Switzerland to Carinthia in 1315 and then to Bavaria around 1400. Is there any connection between our families? I would appreciate any information!

seydl
Hi Anton,
my detailed anchestor list is from mid 1850 and that shows that they were from Prussia mainly. I guess all the information about seydls (before 1850) in the description
(I have and was written in 1928 by one of my anchestor) are collected from libraries. Like the fact that the origin of family seydl is Switzerland and they left in 1315 to Brandenburg, Saxon(? I don't know it in English), and Schlesien.

Anton Seidl: Swiss Origins
It is my understanding that the Seydels/Seydls/Seidels/Seidls were a noble Swiss family who left their home country in AD1315 when the Helvetic confederation was formed in opposition to the Habsburgs.
Being Habsburg loyalists they chose to go into exile. Two main branches of the family formed at that time: one migrated east to Kaernten; the other crossed the Rhine and settled in Alsace. The latter branch migrated to Saxony and became wealthy in silver mining at Annaberg in the 15th century. They were ennobled by Emperor Charles V at the Augburg Diet of AD1550. This family subsequently spread into Brandenburg where they became very prominent and acquired large estates and from there branched out into Silesia (Schlesien). The Kaernten Seydls migrated north into the area of Salzburg around AD1360 and then to southern and eastern Bavaria, where they are today most numerous. A separate branch migrated into Bohemia and the Vogtland of Saxony about AD1400. This group later spread out into Schlesien. The Silesian and Bohemian Seidls were expelled in 1945; many found new homes in the Federal Republic. Anton Seidl
