www.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm (mapquest) is locating a town named PERKATA in Hungary.

The Hungarian phone site is at :
www.matav.hu/tudakozo/index_e.html
Check out if any family still there.

The Ellis Island website is listing 22 SIBAs as passing thru that port to America, some could be related to you.

The LDS-Mormons (Family History Center) website is listing Roman Catholic records for town of Perkata, Fejer megye/county. For a small fee you can order the films and gather ancestral information.
www.bmi.net/jjaso website to familiarize yourself with wording.

The old 1910 Hungarian megye map is at :
http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/maps/1910 click on Fejer

Ricka057

Try using :
www.jewishgen.org/ShtetlSeeker/loctown.htm
The town of Amati is in Romania just a bit South of Satu Mare.
I would think that his name would be Julius. Seems like Stefan was naturalized US citizen in 1937. The numbers on the EI manifest.

www.rat.de/kuijsten/navigator
http://vivisimo.com
www.imrehun.com
www.whitepages.ro
www.fam.aust.com/topolcsany/names first name translation website

The town of Satu Mare's, Paulesti's,and Doba's phone book is listing the surname ASZTALNOK. Seems like distant relatives still in the area.

Rick Siba: Re: siba family
John you might want to look into the Siba clan in Wakaw and Middle Lake area in Saskatchewan. I am a Siba grandson of John Siba. Who immigrated to Canada at the turn of the century. In this area there are Molnars, and Nyrfas as well. I don t know alot of my ancestry however Wakaw Sask might be a place to dig up some history of your past.

John Siba: Re: siba family
Rick thanks for your info in Saskatchewan. I have already exhausted my search there. No one seems to have a link between here and Hungary. I guess I'll just keep trying.
If I could be so bold as to ask you or someone in your family to email me your family lineage it would be very much appreciated. I have tried to put together the Siba family tree and I need help. Thanks again John

zsmonika: Re: siba family
Dear Siba's!

I'm just writing to you because I know a SIBA Ignac who attended the University of Economics of Budapest (aka Corvinus). He is from Perkata if I remember well, and used to work for Citibank in Hungary. He is around 35-36 years of age.

Regards,
Monika
