| Lynnette: Steierlein | After much searching of my family history, I beleive my great-great grandfather's name to be Matyas Steierlein. He came to America and was married to Elizabeth. Matyas died in 1915 and Elizabeth in 1917. They had a daughter, my grandmother Theresia who was 4 years old when they died. She was adopted by a neighbor and knew nothing but her parents names. Both were listed as from Hungary on their death certificates. Matyas and his father shared the same name, his mothers name was Rosina Straub. Elizabeth's father was Michil Seies and her mother, Voronica Ershing. All the spellings are questionable. If you know of any relatives or think you might, please email me.
Also in the family were Maria, Andreas,Franc, Janos and other, these are from the Ellis Island records in the US.
They were headed to Bethlaham, Pennsylvania and Cleveland, Ohio. |
