dorirpt: Szeitz
My husband's grandfather, Alexander Szeitz, came to the U.S.
around 1900 and lived in Revere, MA and then in Wethersfield/Hartford, CT area. I am searching for the names of his parents in order to trace the genealogy back
a little further. He was a commercial artist by trade. He
had married and had three children with his wife, Annie Bisbee. They were divorced by 1930 and he left the area therefore very little is known about his past. Anyone with any information would be most appreciated.

Zlatica : Re: Szeitz
You will need to locate a name of a town for you ancestor in order to proceed with the genealogical search.

There were 34 SZEITZs, 636 SEITZs that passed thru Ellis Island. That might be a good place for you to start.

If your ancestor had social security numbers or was naturalized citizen than those papers would provide some family information.

The LDS-Mormons (Family History Center) have filmed the church records of several European countries but you need the name of a town and religious orientation of your ancestor to order the films.
