SZENDROVICSBruno: Hungarian Genealogy
I live in France and look for the hungarian part of our family : my grand-grand-father was Rudolf SZENDROVICS (10 Oct 1880 - 20 Feb 1961) and he had 2 brothers and 4 sisters :
- Williams an hungarian pharmacist who had two sons : Emile and Zoltan
He was also the godfather of Paul my grandfather
- Samuel (or Salomon) who went to USA in Cleveland Ohio and changed his name to Sam SANDERS. He had two daughters.
- Ethel (the oldest child) died in Hungary
- Therese married with a bank manager
- Régine married with a distiller
- Gisele

If you know one of them, we might form part of the same one and I will be pleased to know you.
If you want to go further too, send me an email.

See you soon,
Bruno

claudia: Re: Hungarian Genealogy
Hi/Bonjour
My name is Claudia Rochon nee Sendrovits Woodstock Canada
My grandfather was Zoltan/Andrew Szendrovits possibly sendrovics. He and his brother were pharmacists and ran a pharmacy taking ower after thier father Vilmos William. born in 1877 in szepessumeg Hungary Unsure of exactly where pharmacy was but possibly nagadorog after the war. They came to Canada in 1956. The wife of Vilmos is listed in my records as a Olga Klein born in Gyorkony Hungary. My grandfather and brother are both deceased now. Looking for clues to the rest of the family and tracing history back especially during the war and prewar. If you have any additional info possibly we are related.

Bill Yotive: Re: Hungarian Genealogy
Bonjour Claudia,

I recently discovered the birth certificates of my grandfather and his brothers and sisters in Sumegh, Hungary and one of them was Vilmos, who is my great uncle. The date on his birth certificate is July 18, 1877. I have a lot of information on the family in the United States as well as information recently uncovered in the regional archives in what is now Slovakia. Would love to talk to you.

Bill Yotive: Re: Hungarian Genealogy
Bonjour Bruno,

I recently discovered the birth certificates of my grandfather and his brothers and sisters in Sumegh, Hungary and one of them was Rudolf Rezo Szendrovics, who is my great uncle. The date on his birth certificate is October 16, 1860 which closely matches what you have. My mother is one of the Sanders that was born in Cleveland. However, some of the information you give doesn't mathc the information I have and some of it does. Rudolf had 4 brothers (Albert, Vilmos-which is probably William, Miksa-my grandfather, and Jonas) and 3 sisters (Regina, Gizela, and Jeanette). There were also 2 siblings that were stillborn. I have a lot of information on the Sanders family in the United States as well as information recently uncovered in the regional archives in what is now Slovakia. Would love to talk to you.

Bill Yotive : Re: Hungarian Genealogy
Bruno,

My grandfather Miksa Szendrovics moved to the United States in 1906 and lived in Cleveland with his uncle Bernard Sandrowitz. Max was Rudolf's brother and he was the one who moved to Cleveland and changed his name to Sanders. Furthermore, Max had two daughters one of whom is my mother, Jean Sanders. I think the confusion with Sam might be due to the fact that one of Bernard's sons was Sam Sanders (my grandfather's first cousin).

Regards,

Bill Yotive

Bruno SZENDROVICS: Re: Hungarian Genealogy
Bonjour Claudia,

Cordialement,
Bruno SZENDROVICS

Bruno SZENDROVICS: Re: Hungarian Genealogy
Bonjour William,

Cordialement,
Bruno SZENDROVICS

rbsanda: Re: Hungarian Genealogy
Dear Bruno:
You have corresponded with my distant cousin William Votive regarding the Szendrovics family. My father, Louis S. Sanders was Bernard Sanders(Burnatt)Elias' brother. My father Louis was Bernard's youngest son. Louis died in 1987 at the age of 90. My immediate family began this geneology search within the past 9 months and the family tree has now grown to approximately 190 persons in the US. I have never had much information regarding the family once they came to the US and it is fastenating to find that we have distant relatives in France. Looking forward to hearing more about your side of the family. I have attached a copy of the Sanders family portrait dated in the 1940's Hope you find it of interest. Names can be supplied at a later date. I remain sincerely,
Robert B. Sanders
