Mike: Szokodi origins
Mari SZOKODI from Nagydem in Hungary married Mihaly Rafai (Raffai, Ruffi) in Lovaszpatona in 1895 or 1896. Does anyone know if there are still people called SZOKODI living in Nagydem, or people called Rafai living in Lovaszpatona?

The surname SZOKODI lists in Hungary's phone book.
It shows up in Veszprem megye but nothing in the town that you wrote.

My grandmother's father was Ferenc Szokodi. The family lives in Gecse (10-20 km Lovaszpatona). The Szokodies went to USA and came back Hungary.
