You have a place of birth? You need that to look thru the church records. 28 TABACSKOs came thru Ellis Island. www.ellisislandrecords.org

I find TABAC^KO in Slovak Republic's phone book
www.zoznamst.sk
In Hungary's phone book TABACSKO www.magyartelekom.hu/fooldal.vm
Which Janos TABACSKO that came thru Ellis Island your ancestors? Of course, your ancestor could have come thru Baltimore, Boston or Philadelphia.

Thank you for your replies. I don't believe any of the Janos's that are listed at Ellis Island are my grandfather. Their ages do not match his birth year.

Zlatica : Re: Tabacsko, John
Your welcome WJohn

Do you know where he was born? He could have come thru other port. The birthdays were not celebrated or important in those old days as they are now, so a year up or down no big deal.
