Kontor Márta: Re: tracing family
Hello! My name (as I was born) Marta Takaro. My husband's name is Kontor. My grandfather's and father's name was Imre Takaro and they had born in izsak. My grandfather's brother named Geza Takaro left Hungary in 1922 and he was a leader of First Hungarian Reformed Church in NYC and he died in 1974. He wrote a book. One part of this book tells about the history our family since the XIV. century.
As I read Zsofia Takaro was the sister of my grandfather's father and she died in 1936. I can't the relation in family translate exactly. But I think that it's a problem with the names of zsofia's children, because in Hungary the children's surname came from the fathers family name, so I think that the name of Zsofia's children is Kiss, because Zsofia's husband was Istvan Kiss.
Momently that's all what I can say, but I'll be glad to have an answer from you David!
Best whishes: Marta Takaro
