My great-grandfather was named Andrew (Andras) Tedesco; he was born in Arad in 1864. The family legend is that an ancestor was doctor to the Prince of Tuscany (who I later found was a title accorded to the Prince of Austria) who had a castle in Hungary, and when the prince died, the doctor moved permanently to Hungary. Any connection?
