I am looking Trebitsch roots and would like to trace back where from they come. It seems likely that they come from a village Trebic, (Trebitsch), Moravia, Czech Republic today, but do not have any evidence. My ancestors as of 1850 lived at Zalegerszeg, Kiss-Czell (Celdömölk), Tüskevár, Somlóvásárhely, - all settlements in Western Hungary. My oldest known ancestor is Rudolf Trebitsch, born around 1830 in an unfamilair place.

You did take a look at the Ellis Island website? There were 41 TREBITSCHs that did come thru that processing center. www.ellisislandrecords.org
No TREBITSCH phone listing in CZ's phone book
http://phone.quick.cz but some in Germany and Austria.

I am trieding to trace my family and I belive you can help my Grandmother was Trebitsch my Great Great Great grand father was Trebitsch not shaw how many brothers he had or sisters hope you can help I only know very little as my mother did not tell me anythink lookforward hearing from you your faithfully Jackie
