my name is istvan from budapest, hungary. origin of our family is from transylvania, szatmar county, around the old hungarian city of szatmarnemeti(now romanian satu mare) and nagykaroly(now romanian carei).in the first tierce of the XVIII.th century to this territory people came from the german empire. people came with this name vonhaus. in the XIX. century this name is changed to vonhaz. one of man of this family was istvan vonhaz dr. who wrote a book: deployment of the sathmarian germans. 1931, pecs.
