Andrej Varsa (b: November 30, 1872 in Teplicska No. 55, Spis, Slovakia d: May 15, 1937 in Struthers OH, USA) , son of Mathias and Maria (Kristof) Varssa was my grandfather. I would like to hear from anyone researching this family. I have many generations of informtation to share.

Surname VARS^A list in Teplicka nad Hornadom (river Hornad) and in Markusovce. www.zoznamst.sk The villages are close to each other, no km marker.

The LDS-Mormons website is listing Roman Catholic church records of Markusovce. You can order the films and gather ancestral information, if you have not already.

I am still researching this family and have found many changed the spelling to Varso when they came to America.
Please contact me if you are researching either spelling of this name.
