Karola: Keresés
Szeretettel üdvözlök mindenkit, aki ide téved, és még nagyobb szeretettel, akiknek családjában, családja múltjában fellelhető a Weisz név.
A nagymamámat Weisz Matildnak hívták, Nagybecskereken (Zrenjaninban) élt, ott született apám, Kovács Béla, és nagybátyám, Kovács Viktor. A nagyapámat Kovács Mihálynak hívták.

Előre is köszönöm.

Kedves Krolina'
A családnak voltak Nagybecskereki kötődései is, mert édesanyám ott született.
Sajnos többet nem tudok.

Kedves Karolina és Ágnes!

Leírom a családunkhoz kapcsolódó Weisz rokonságot.

Próbáltam a muzslyai iskolával is felvenni a kapcsolatot, eredmény nélkül.

Még gyermekkoromból halványan emlékszem Weisz Lajos nevére, aki talán Budapesten élt és mindig vicces képeslapokat kaptunk tőle.

Ennyi amit a mi Weisz kapcsolatunkról el tudok mesélni.

Üdvözlettel Tamás

davtram: További infók
Kedves Karolina és Ágnes!

A hiányzó adatok:

Weisz Katalin házasságkötésekor (1891-ben) 33 éves volt. A házasságkötésekor lakhelye Felsőercsenye (Henndorf) születési helye Óbuda.

I used to know an Ivan Weisz from Microsoft that worked there. I understand you knew of him. I am trying to find out, you told me he passed away several years ago, I would like to know if you have more information for I want to make sure we are talking about the same person. He was from Hungary, wore glasses and was a Math major Graduate from Ohio State University. I would like to know if it is the same person, if it is, I would like to know if you know the circumstances of his passing, for we have common friends that I would need to inform about it.

Janos: Re: genealogy
Dear Viola,
It would be hard to locate them, if you are not sure on the place.
I think that FEHER (which means Weisz/White) may be the right spelling in Hungarian.
I met this surname here in Transylvania (Romania) at the Jewish communities Registers from Kovaszna County.
Maybe help a bit.
Greatings,
Janos

Dear Janos,
Thank you a lot for answering to my question. My grandmother told me, that Johann Weisz was born in Magocs but she´s not quiet sure. It´s sure Michael Fetter (born as Michael Lang) and Eva Kraus were born in Magocs.
I think knowing the hungarian spelling of Weisz will help a lot. So thanks again.

Greetings

Do you have a date on your Elizabeth Kraus? Perhaps your Elizabeth is the daughter of Andreas Kraus and Anna Hohman? I have lots of Kraus info from Mágocs, Baranya megye. Andreas "Andy" Kraus Jr. married my great aunt. Interesting...Andy Jr's brother Joe married Herminia "Minnie" Lang.

The Weisz name is still used in Mágocs, which had a large ethnic German population. There is a lot of microfilm available for Mágocs from 1743 to at least 1907, and I'm glad to share my information.

Hello,

and thank you for your answer. I found out that Elisabeth Kraus was born in 1862 as Elisabeth Rokenstein. I still know nothing about her husband Sebastian Kraus. The wife of Michael Fetter was Eva Kraus, Elisabeth Kraus´daughter. I had a wrong information here, sorry!
The parents of Michael Fetter (Lang) were Johannes Lang (*1882) and Eva ? . Unfortunately I don`t know if these persons had brothers or sisters.
Johann Weisz was born on Oct 16. 1901 in Magocs. You write there`s lots of information about Magocs. Maybe you got something for me? That would be great.
Thanks a lot

Köszöntök Mindenkit.

2003-11-3-i történetemet a következőképpen tudom pontosítani.

Weisz Keresztély (Krisztianusz) született 1834.11.13.
szülei József és Ga¨s (Kösz) Teréz.

Keresztély 1856.6.3. özvegyként házasodott Óbudán Mihály Katalinnal (1834.8.20 - Mihályi József és Henatl Katalin)

A házasságból szép számmal születtek gyermekek Óbuda 520, illetve Nyári u. 195 alatt.

Mária 1857.8.20.
Katalin 1858.9.21.
Anna 1861.1.17.
Antal 1863.4.2.
József 1864.8.22.
István 1865.8.2.
Ferdinánd 1868.4.17.
Lajos 1869.5.17.

Dear Ivan,
replying to your email 2004.
my mother,Zsuzsa Weisz, had two uncles, Nandor Weisz and Bela Weisz, a lawyer. Her father was called Vilmos Weisz who was their brother. Could this be the same family. Nandor was thought to have disappeared in1941. He was a sculptor in Paris at one time. I have a photo of Bela, his wife Heli,Wilmos Weisz and his sister Ibi, taken in Brasso in 1924 and sent to Nandor Weisz. Would you like a copy sent by email, and have you managed to find anything else on the family.

So glad to hear from you after some absence. Both Andrea and I are very pleased to get yoinput on our connections. FYI Andrea is in Thornhill. Are you the Tina Weisz in Willowdale?

Also, does my tracing of the Mueller name have any value? Are the dates in question applicable? In the photo you posted of Vilmos, Ibolya, and Bela with wife, who is whom? I have an uncle Robert still alive (75) although gravely ill, in Hungary who is the younger brother of Laszlo my Father. He remembered the names you gave as correct when I talked to him. Please ask us for any information and we'll be happy to reply. BTW, Aunt Ibi used to visit Budapest at My Father's place years ago. Andrea remebers her visits. She loved in Romania. Who is Llinos? Please reply ASAP. Very excited to hear so many new information. Ivan
