| rzecker: Re: pusztavam genealogy | Hi there --- My family came from Pusztavam, and I have Mueller and Friedmann ancestors in the RC branch of my ancestry there. Have you seen the Heimatbuch von Pusztavam? A very good overview of the history of our town. Most of it is in German, some in Latin and Magyar.
My Mueller line starts with my great great grandfather,
Josef Müller, b. 3 March 1831, Pusztavám. I couldn't find
a death date for him, but it was probably after 1905, as that's when my grandfather and his older sisters left for N.J. with their mother, and one of the sisters remembered Josef.
He was first married to Theresa Leber, who died 6 Sept. 1866, aged 36 years. He remarried to Anna Zecher,
b. 7 May 1830, Pv.
18 June 1895, Pv.
The Friedmanns are further back in my tree, in the 18th century, also in Pusztavam. Does this sound like we are connected?
