|Viktor: Re: Zelei surname|
Sorry to disturb you.
I am writing to enquire in relationt to my relative.
I am looking for my retatives in the United States of America.
Sorry, I don’t speak English Language fluently, but I learn it.
I have a family story.
My grandmother’s mother’s (my great-grandmother’s brother) brother was János (John) Zelei. He origin from Hungary. He lived in Mezőkővesd (now is Zepmlén Megye or in English County), but in the past Mezőkövesd was in Borsod Megye (County), Hungary.
János (John) Zelei immigrated to the United States of America in about 1911 (my grandmother said), but the boat arrived maybe in 1912.
He had no money for the boat ticket, but the captain of the steamship allow to him to board to the steamship. He worked on the steamship in exchange. He heated the steamship. He shovelled coal to the furnace of the boat to America.
He moved to Cleveland, Ohio, later Barberton, Ohio.
He lived at Takács Family (István or in English Steve Takács).
Reportedly he went down the stairs by motorcycle and maybe he drunk sometimes. (My grandmader said, she heard it.)
He died in february 24th, 1956. He lived 67 year?, 1889?, Hungary - february 24th, 1956. USA (my grandmother said) or 68 years, 1886-1956.
His father is János (John) Zelei, his mother is Teréz (Teresa or Theresa) Farkas.
His siblings are Jóska (József) Zelei (he died at World War 1, maybe not died in the World War 2), Teréz Zelei (she is my grandmother’s mother, my great-grandmother, István (Steve) Bán’s wife, Mezőkövesd, Hungary), Mária (Mary) Zelei, Gáspár Zelei.
Are you a descendant or relative of János (John) Zelei?
But maybe not he is your grandfather but him father's sibling. My grandmother do not know nothing János (John) Zelei's father, János (john) Zelei's siblings.
Maybe one of him sibling is your grandfather or grandmother?
I would be grateful if you could be to help me found my relatives.
