There's a Herman Zelmanovics(3) arr'd in 1909 from Beregorasr(Beregszász, Bereg County/today Berehovo in Ukraine) with mother Luisa(22) to father Salamon Zelmanovics in N.Y. 	kezdi There were two places across the Laborc river in Zemplén County in historical, pre 1920 Hungary, Izbugya-Radvány/Vysna Radvan and Laborcz-Radvány/Radvan nad Laborcom. On the following 1910 map look, for Iz(bugya) on the left side of Laborc river and Radvány on the right in the lightbrown colored Mezőlaborcz District with a big 4 in the middle: http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/maps/1910/zemplen.jpg On Mapquest, only Radvan nad Laborcom is shown, perhaps they're merged. Although it's on the map, it doesn't come up under that name. Type in Brestov, the place just south from it, and chose one out of of three, until see Radvan nad Laborcom. 	sisinko: Zelmanovits Hallo, my name is Katarina,I come from Slovakia (Szechoslovakia before). My grandfather was Viliam Zelmanovic, born in 1920 in Nizne Cabiny. His father´s name was Herman Zelmanovic (Zelmanovits) born in 1875 in Nizne Cabiny, Medzilaborce. My grandfatherœ mother was Rozalia nee Rosa Samet (Sabet) born in 1884. Per web I found Herman (Armin) Zelmanovic born 28.12.1909 in Nemecka Poruba, Uzhorod, Slovakia - Czechoslovakia.he was transported to Auschwitz together with another Zelmanovic - Adolf (I think Adolf was brother of my grandfather, born 6.8.1906). Date od death of Herman(armin) 27.5.1942, prisoner nr. 9186, source: slovakia holocaust jewish names project, commenus university od bratislava, dept. of history, www.yadvashem.org - the central database of shoah victims´names.
