I am researching GYORGY LAHITA and his daughter PAULINA LAHITA. GYORGY LAHITA, according to the Ellis Island website and the ship manifest, came from TENKE, Hungary. PAULINA, his daughter, I cannot find on the Ellis Island site. On Paulina's death certificate it is stated that her mother was from Poland, and her mother's name unknown !!!!!!)
PAULINA LAHITA became the commonlaw wife of MIKSA (Maxi)PALUGYAY, had 5 children (including my grandfather) in Soldier, Pennsylvania and ran a boarding house. They eventually moved to FAIRPORT HARBOR, OHIO in the U.S.. Anyone with any information on GYORGY or PAULINA, the LAHITAs of TENKE, or who Paulina's mother was, please contact me. Thanks, Denise
