In 1990 census of names there were 24 MODLAs in Poland. www.herby.com.pl/herby in Polish and only distribution. Have you noticed how many of the MODLAs were from Trips/Trypse/Tripsz etc? I think this a village Tribs in Szepes megye. This surname list in the Spis region / Szepes megye of Slovak Republic. Both villages are in Poland. You can locate them with www.pilot.pl Trybsz and Dursztyn. Few other MODLAs were from Feketeberez/ Feketebercz which is in Szepes megye and in Poland as Czarna Gora.
