If someone finds a connection between the Vilaghy surname and the place named Világ (now Svetlice, Slovakia), can you please let me know? My ancestors are from this small Rusyn village. I read in this document, www.iabsi.com/gen/public/Documents/stropkov3.doc (search for Svetlice or Világ within this document), that Világ was settled by Hungarians who moved north, perhaps during the time of the Turkish invasion. I will try to upload a picture of Svetlice taken in 1996, looking down on the houses from St. Dmitry Greek Catholic church.
