| Hello,
My Father Frank Dorka was cousin to Zoltan Dorka. Zoltan was a President at Gamma Elecronics in Budapest had a lovely daughter Bea and a wife Gizella. I was 10 years old a the time when I was in contact with them last time. 1953 approximately. My Father was born in Miskolc in 1911. He was a metallurgical chemist. Zoltan was my fathers cousin and his senior by about ten years. My Father since has passed away. I have often thought about the wonderful parties that went on for days at grape harvest time we used to share with Zoltan and his family in Zuglo Budapest. As a matter of fact once about 25 years ago I was at a friends home partying in Culver City and talked about what wonderful party animals my family were and You would not believe a guy who was Bea's age just happened to be there and screamed for joy since he also used to party with my relatives. What a wonderful small world. At that point in time I know my father and Zoli we called him both were looking for family with the name Dorka. I was an only child so was Bea and no one could come up with any Dorka in Hungary other than My dad's brother Laszlo Dorka my father Frank Dorka and Zoltan Dorka. Here in the United States on the East Coast there are many, but I have not contacted any of them. My father's dad was Dorka Marton. I am so sorry my precious father is no longer with us. I will be talking to dad's best friend in Canada and ask if he knows any more than I do. He also knew Zoltan. I am inclined to think the Zoltan you are looking for is probably not my fathers cousin. I hope you speak English if not I aplogise and will write this down in Hungarian for you. Best wishes Elisabeth Dorka Feher If you have SKYPE (internet free telephone) write and tell me who you are. | ||
