Thanks once again for your help. I do know that Rozina/Regina became a citizen. I have copies of her citizenship papers and know that she finally became a citizen in 1942. The petition for citizenship lists her birthplace as Szambok, Hungary. Using the jewishgen web site I've found a listing for Zsambek that is probably the same place. She was married in Nagykata in 1904 to Max Steinberger. He was born in March, 1870 in Pasztoha, Hungary. I cannot find the latter place on any database. Could be a name change or just poor memory. Max died in the United States in 1933 according to the papers. Nagykata and Szambok are fairly close to Budapest. That would fit in with bits and pieces of stories that my mother told me about her mother.
