My name is Veronica Bernath. My family came from Kolosvar (now Cluj, Rumania) My father's great-grandfather was Bernat Rosenberg. His grandfather was Albert Bernath as family changed name. The resting place is in Gilau (Fornmerly Gyalu) My greatgrandparents had three children: Arved, Odon, and Vilma. My grandfather was Arved Bernath. He had two sons, my father George and my step-auncle Arved(Bandi). Arved's children are Andras, professor of music in Budapest and daughter Andrea, in Rimini, Italy. Odon had a son, Dr. Zoltan Bernath. He had five children, all alive and well in Chile. His daughter Elizabeth had no children. She is deceased. This family had other members. Cousins, etc. Vilma had a son, a painter, who lived in Cuba. There were cousins on the Bernath side and on the Gal side (my grandmother was Yolan Gal (Gruen) The Castillo Bernath stands in Gylau to this date. I sawe it in 2003.
