	Zlatica : Brudiar Check on the EI manifest of Jan BRUDIAR. He too was from Klenoiz/Klenocz = Klenovec, Slovak Republic. Look also at BRNDJAR, BRUTJAR BRNDIAR and BRADNYAN. 	Zlatica : Brndiar Forgive me for so many e-mails but as soon as I sent it to you, I re-read the names that I found from Klenocz and saying them out loud how they sound and how should they sound in Slovak. The Brndiar made sense. I checked Klenovec's phone book and yes, BRNDIAR about 12 listings in the phone book. This could be or might not be associated with your BRUDJAR. It also might be that the family that stayed behind changed the name or the name sort of evolved to Brndiar from Brudjar. The church records would confirm or deny the spelling. I have seen some Ellis Island manifests where in the name should be an N but instead there is an U, being that it looks like an U.
