I don't know if they were married here or in Hungary. I am trying to find out about there family in hungary and any siblings they had, just anything about our family tree as far back as possible. 	Zlatica : Re: meaning of the name Dea The surnames do not seem typical Hungarian, you know, like Nagy, Farkas, Eszterhazi, Palfy, Andrassy etc. Looked in Czech dictionary and the word " prekop " means cross drift, cross-cut level www.slovnik.cz Same meaning of the word prekop in Slovak. http://slovnik.zoznamst.sk Still did not find what bumbera might be. I do know that my great granparents Joseph and Mary spoke hungarian and so did my grandfather growing up. I had contact with an investigator from Budapest and he says has an agent in Nyiregyháza, Hungary. He says that he knows of Bumbera families living there, but here's the catch he needs $800 to research. I think I'd rather stay in contact with good people like yourself who actually enjoy researching familiy tree's and helping families find eachother.I to like the research, the only difference is you seem to know what your doing and I'm at a loss. 	Zlatica : Re: research Dea You are doing OK. I have been at this genealogy hobby for several years now. Just because the ancestral surnames do not seem typical Magyar/Hungarian that does not mean that your ancestors were not.
