	Kat: Info on Csiki in Romania or Hungary? Hello, My father is interested and so am I in learning the origination of our family name Csiki. There is some suspicion that it in fact originates in Transylvania. Originally our family moved from Hungary in the 1890's to New York and then to CT in the US. So we are looking for any possible information on resources in Romania ie., sources for birth/death certificates and immigration paper work. Any help would be great. I have tracked down all the information in the US regarding my relatives but my research stops on the boat my great-grand-father traveled on. On the ship's manifest it states: Joseph Csiki traveled from a port in France to New York with his last known address in Buda Pest. However all the information fits on the manifest but, after taking a closer look, it appears that he was not on board the ship. This is turning into quite a mystery. Thanks. I can tell you that my grandfather was Vilmos (Wilhelm) Csiki and my grandmother was Fuzi Maria, born in Brasov at 1904, july 13; father Fuzi Andrei, born in Ormenis (Brasov country) in 1875; mother Fuzi Ecaterina, born Kovacs in 1874 in Madaras-Ciuc.
