| Zelnik: Re: DOBAK family - Szent/Saint/ Anna, Slovakia | Hi,
There are a lot of descendants of the so called 'Dobák-nem'. There are some families you didn't mention among:
- szentannai Dobák és szentannai Almann (Sevcsik, Almássy), who come from those who kept Szentanna as their property
- after Hough (wlived under King Bela the IV) came Mese. his blood are the szentannai - bobrovnyiki Bobrovniczky (other parts of the family wear the following names: Jagerszky, Istvanik, Jakubik, Jakubovszky), ukovinai Bukovinszky, jaszenovai Csaplovich and hodászi Kiszely (some memnóber of this family are known as Hodászi, others középsőmalatini Petheő)
- after the brother of Mese, Rudolf come the kis- és nagyselmeczi Styavniczky family (some member took up the name Selmeczy), nagyselmeczi Kaszaniczky and the kis- és nagyselmeczi Tholt (akso written as Thuolt, Thold).
- Kevel belonged to the 'Dobak-nem' too, whose families are: the szelniczi Kevély, the Szelnicz (also known as Zelnik), the isipfalvi Lavotta (Lavotha), isipfalvi Kabzán and isipfalvi Kosztura.
There is one big group of families that did not live in Lipto area and therefore was not listed in the historical
regestrum of Lipto and Turocz counties. Although these also belong to the 'Dobak-nem'. Their other gen name was: Szentannai. So these are:
- dacsó-lami és keszihóczi Dacsó-, keszihóczi Keszihóczy-, lukanényei Luka-, a kőkeszi Keszy- és hliniki Hliniky-(Harabor-) families, that moved to Nyitra and Hont county. (There are old proofs from the Kubinyi family for the family relation regarding those who remained around Szentannai, the isépházi Hliniky. As I know, these have never been published, but I have met them.)
Regards,
Csaba Zelnik
