| Gerald: Dobozi-Dobozy Family | I am completing the Dobozi-Dobozy/Pájer Family history book this year and I am still looking for anyone that would like to contact me for information. I am researching the origin of our name with both endings- Dobozi & Dobozy. My specific family is from the village of Torna, Hungary, now called Turna nad Bodvou, Slovakia. By researching old village Catholic Church records I was able to go back to a Marton Dobozy in the mid 1700s and the earliest Dobozi in Turna is a Dobozi András who was married to a Koso or Kosa Anna in 1736. There was also a Dobozy Mihály in the small village near Torna called Udvarnok in 1722. The village is now called Dvorniky Slovakia.
