I am researching my family history and I am interested in tracing the DOMOKOS name. My great grandmother was named Katarina DOMOKOS as far as I know she was born in Zdenanca in Croatia. She married Anton Maskov and they had five children - Agica, Yulka, Marica, Ivan and my grandfather Josip. My grandfather was born in Orahovica, Croatia and the family resided in Nasice Novo Selo where both Anton and Katarina died.
My grandfather immigrated to Australia in 1960.

Domokos is a hungarian name. Your grandfather was born in Croatia, but when???
Until 1920 Croatia was part of grand Hungary.
Anton Maskov is not hungarian name, but Agica and Marica is hungarian.
Domokoses live in Debrecen, Hajdúdorog, Nagykálló /city/... in Hungary and in Transylvania (in Romania).Transylvania was too part of grand Hungary until 1920.

My great-grandmother was Helen/Ilona Domokos. She married Ballai Balla Janos, from SzilagyBalla, in the mid 1800s. Is there anyone who might be connected?

One of my grate-grandfathers was Domokos, and he was born and lived in Békés (Békés county. Though he lost his parents as a baby -so my family know only a few about his actual origin, we can found many Domokoses in the cementary of Békés.

My grandfather Arpad Domokos, grandmother Ilona Domokos lived in Zilah (City), Szilagy megye (Szilagy county). Both born in the early 1900.

I am researching csalad, Domokos Ladislaus, he lived in Tenyo, i believe his occupation was a grape vineyard farmer he was a witness to my great aunts marriage. There was also a csalad connection.
