| BethBrown: Dringus Family Lineage | I am looking for my Great Grandfather's family line and information. His name was John Andrew Dringus, born 28 Nov 1880/1881 in Gombos, Hungary / Austria-Hungary.
John Andrew Dringus married Catherine 'Katie' Svaczik,
Katie Svaczik was born 25 Oct 1883 death certificate shows place of birth as Hungary.
I do not know when they immigrated to the US, but it was before 1914. Katie passed away at age 35 in 1918, when their youngest son was just 6 years old.
John A. & Katie Dringus had 4 sons:
Stephen Edward Dringus (My grandfather)
John Louis Dringus
Arthur Dringus
Edward Zolton Dringus
John Andrew Dringus's mother's name was Mary Toth, but I do not know his father's first name (At this time) or if John Andrew had any siblings. I show that Mary Toth Dringus was born 1850 in Hungary and passed away in 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio in the US, at which time, her death certificates shows she was widowed. I also show that Mary Toth's father's name was Steve Toth, but her mother's name is listed as unknown on her death certificate.
Katie's parents were:
Father -Andras 'Andrew' Svazcik born - circa 1849
and
Mother - Maria 'Mary' Sidlak born - circa 1853
I show that Katie's parents came to the US - arriving February 1914 via the Ship Name: Chemnitz - Port of departure - Bremen, Germany - Port of Arrival - Baltimore, Maryland. The passenger list states their race as being Slovakian, last residence Hungary. I do not know if they remained in the US and if they did, I do not know where they were when they passed away. I currently am not showing any information in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
I am looking for any information on the Dringus, Svaczik, Toth or Sidlak family lines...
