	Egerszegi: Family name My name is Mathilda Egerszegi Stenman. I live in Sweden (my grand father left Hungary 1956) but am of Hungarian decent. Since most of my Hungarian ancestors are dead and the few still living does not speak English (I don't speak Hungarian)it is hard for me to find out any family history. From what I understand Egerszegi is a fairly unusual name in Hungary. My grandfather came from Pécs and his father had a furniture factory there before the communist takeover. I have also heard that a lot of Egerszegis have been in the armed forces during the 1800s? Does anyone now more than me about the Egerszegi family and its history. 	Ayatolla: Re: Family name Hi Mathilda. Our family are alsĺ from Hungary. I am well aware of the name Egerszegi! Since our family can remember, the family Egerszegi has always worked as "bargirls", or prostitutes. This was a good job back in the days, and nowdays most of them probably recived the HIV and could be dead for that reason. 	KovácsEdina: balatoni Egerszegi család Kedves Fórumozók! Keresem a felmenőim egyik ágát, akik tudomásom szerint a Balaton déli részén éltek, Balatonföldváron. Dédim szül: Egerszegi Mária 1900-ban született, volt egy húga, Júlia (ha jól emlékszem), az ő szüleikről csak annyit tudok, hogy Balatonföldváron vannak eltemetve. Elképzelhető, hogy Balatonöszöd környékéről származik a család. Semmi más célom nincs, mint a családfámat összeállítani, tudni, hogy kik voltak az őseim, egy bizonyos ágon.
