	Zlatica : Re: felcan family search You will need to locate a name of a town for your ancestor in order to proceed with the research. Jan in Slovak, John in English, Janos in Magyar/Hungarian. What language did your ancestor speak? The Ellis Island website is listing 15 FELCANs, 12 FELCSANs,and 32 FELCZANs. Check out the manifests to see if your ancestor passed thru that port. At the funeral my brother discovered my grandfather's name was originally spelled Felcan when he came through Ellis Island. His four children were John, Joe, Anne, and Mike.
