| Mary Llewellyn: Trying to find Gyenes relatives | Would like to trace my father's family -- Gyenes -- originally from Szalonna. My grandfather, Steven (Istvan) Gyenes and his younger brother John (Janos) immigrated to Canada in 1926 or 1927. They left 7 half-sisters in Hungary.
John never married but Steve married Mary Hango and had 3 children. Ethel and Bill both born in Hungary and Elizabeth born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Bill was my father. Ethel has 3 children, Bill had 5 children and Elizabeth has 2.
My grandfather and great uncle did not speak much of the family left behind in Hungary and I would be pleased to learn of them. |
