	Mark Hoferitza: Slovak/Magyar Connection Hello All, I am trying to research my family in Slovakia. I'm guessing that Hoffericza is a Hungarian spelling of Hoferica, my family name. Since the part of Slovakia they lived in was once occupied by Hungarians. The town is Svaty Martin or Sventmarton. I'm hoping someone out there can help. I have been intrigued by the different spellings (Hoferica, Hoferitza, Hofferica, and Hoffericza). Thanks for the amnifest link. 	Zlatica : Re: Slovak or Hungarian Towns Mark Both of the villages's names are misspelled. Ricsovaralja is now Hricovske Podhradie, SK and the surname HOFERICA lists in that village's phone book. Nagyszoczocz. There was a village named Szoczocz in Turocs megye which now is called Socovce, Slovak Republic. Nagy-Szoczocz is now Socovce, Slovak Republic.
