	Steve Ilkovics: Looking for relatives My father Ferenc Ilkovics moved from Hungary to the UK in 1956. He married into an English family and lived in the UK until he died in 1989. (His brother Janos also used to live in the UK until the mid 1970s.) I am his eldest son and I am now living in New Zealand. 	Ilkovics: Re: Looking for relatives My grandfather was Adolph Ilkovics married to Szerena Ilkovics; they lived in Szedikert it used to belong to Hungary before World War 1, now it has another name. I have exchanged emails with Zoltán and he sent me a family tree. I think your great grandfather (István Ilkovics) was the brother of my grandfather (Jozsef Ilkovics). I think this may make us 2nd removed cousins. I have also made contact with Anasztazia Ilkovics who is the daughter of my fathers brother (János). We moved to New Zealand last year as we felt we needed to experience life outside the UK. My wife (Carol) was born in New Zealand so the move was quite easy to make. We have three children (Ivan - 10, Claudia - 8 and Natasha - 5). New Zealand is a fantastic place and we feel really at home here. I have uploaded a photo to this message - hope you can see it. 	Jojoko: Re: Looking for relatives Hi all, there is a Denes Ilkovics who was born in Hungary on July 24, 1929 and now lives in South of France. He has 3 kids: Stefan, Anna and Lou (me). Denes has a sister called Judita who was born 'round 1925. She now lives in St John, Virgin Island after having spent all her career in between Sweden and New York. Our family(including 2 young children and a small dog) stayed in his home in Agay two summers in the late 1980's and became friends. Denes was my boss during my first years working with colour TV for AGA in Finland, first in Denes' laboratory in Lidingo. In that place,today in Slovakia which belonged to Dessewffy family along with mentioned village szedikart or todays name Zahradne, your grandfather used to rent big property for more than 40 yeras, he used to have there a destillery and more bussines. She married Dzvoncsek András and their daughter, Maria, was born in the small village of Komloska, Hungary on January 29, 1883. Maria married my grandfather, Andras Puchnyák in Komloska on Nov. 7, 1904 - and sometime later they both moved to Shamokin, PA. (I believe to be near a Carpathian Rusyn community there.) They have 6 children - my mother, Theresa (Pufnock) McDonald was the last to pass last November (08). My granfathers name was most likely changed at the US border. I am Jerry McDonald, Theresa's son - and live in St. Pete Beach, FL.
