	istvanpinter: Re: Istvan Your grandmother was most likely originated from HEVES megye/county, not Ves megye, although there is another similar sounding county, which is Vas (meaning iron, pronounced the same way as the word wash, only with a V. Heves county is on the north region, while Vas is on the far west side of Hungary. 	willyeye: Re: Istvan Hello Kathleen, I've been doing some research on your John Tako. I couldn't find any Vesmegye, but I did find Vasmegye. Vasmegye is just the Hungarian name for Vas County. I also ran a search on the new Mormon search page for "Hungary Catholic Church Records" (birth records) for Joannes Tako, born between 1886 and 1888.
