JulkaD: Search GRAUER, JAKOBOVITZ, KIRSCH, EHRLICH, KLEIN
I am searching for any information regarding Dora GRAUER, believed to have been born to Moritz or Adolf GRAUER and Sara JAKOBOVITS/JAKOBOVICS in or around Homonna in 1867. I have found neither a birth record for her, or for her sister Kati, nor have I found a marriage record for her parents. Sara died young and I have not been able to find a death record for her. Dora's father remarried "Regina" some time later. After arriving in the US, Dora GRAUER married Adolf/Abraham KIRSCH who was born in Austria in or around 1865. His brother Benjamin KIRSCH also settled in the US, in New York. Kati also married; married surname KLEIN. If any of this seems familiar to any one, please do contact me.

Did you look in Humenne's Jewish records that are in LDS?

Thanks so much for your response; much appreciated. However, I not only have looked in Humenne's Jewish records on JewishGen and FS, I transcribed many, perhaps even most of them and have found absolutely nothing. Even now, I'm continuing to do indexing for FSI/JGen, at the moment for Budapest, but still nothing. Ideas? Any thoughts might help -----

You're welcome.
If you have documents that your ancestors were born in Humenne than it would make sense they would show up in Humenne's Jewish records. Why would they not. Maybe an 1869 census to go thru but I feel like you most likely have gone thru it.
