	Madeleine: Surname I don't know if it is an instance but I was looking for somebody with the same surname like mine and I found this page. I was always interested in genealogy of my family and I have never seen a genealogic tree of it. 	Zlatica : Re: JESZKO No surname JESZKO or JEZ^KO in my family tree. The word jez in Slovak and jez^ko in Czech for hedgehog. Does it mean the same thing in Polish? I would think that the surname JESZKO is of Slavic roots. I am sure you know that you need to backtrack from yourself locating information on your parents, their parents, their parents etc. especially the place of birth.
