| ronna: looking for connections | | Hi, I'm looking for any documentation on my great grandfather, Johan Kappel. He was born May 7 or 16, 1883. His parents were Josef Kappel and Maria Strommer (?). We know his parents died when he was young. He married Rozalia Besrlanovic (?) American spelling (Beslanowitch) on October 27, 1907. Rozalia was born September 23, 1882. They both state Hungary as country of birth but I just can't make out the towns. Rozalia's parents were Mihaly Berslanovic and Anna Hoffman. I have a copy of their marriage license abstract that they needed to emigrate to America. I also have Johan's Declaration of Intention to become an American citizen. Both state towns of birth and residence. I have also found the passenger lists of the ship that the family come over on. Any help locating the towns so I can locate the parish to ask for church documents would be greatly appreciated. |
