Although I visited the closeby Somogyvár last year -the Hungarian historical memorial Kupavár is located there, third after Opusztaszer and Mohács- I didn't stop in Edde. I'll go again this year and will look around. I gathered a few information for you.
Per the 1900 Census, the R.Cath. Church was in Osztopán, the Reformed in Jád/ today called Somogyjád, also Seat of the Civil Registration District. All the Vital records are available for research at LDS/FHLC: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp
In 1900, the Population was 690 in 70 houses, in 2005 247 in 98.
I'll read the village website, and give you a summary if don't know Hungarian: http://www.somogy.hu/edde/
