| johnkostick: Jozsef Janos Kostik | My grandfather was Paul Aloysius Kostick born 22 Feb 1899 in Ungvar, Hungary which is now known as Uzhgorod in the Ukraine.
He was the son of Jozsef Janos Kosztik and his wife Erzsebet Kotyuk who came to New York around 1904 with his wife and children following soon after. The names became Joseph John Kostick and his wife Elisabeth in Brooklyn and Philadelphia area.
They were married about 1890. They referred to themselves as Hungarians.
He was Roman Catholic and she was Greek Catholic.
Their children named Elisabeth, Anna, Pauline, John, Paul and Margareth were all born in Hungary two more sons, Frank and Joseph were born in Philadelphia.
The Kostick's my paternal line has been my brick wall. Records from their place of origin in Uzhgorod are almost impossible to research. I would be grateful for any suggestions or help on this line.
