	Mike Lizonitz: Janos Lizanec or Lizanecz I am searching for any info on a Janos Lizanec or Lizanecz who married a Maria or Mary Speniak. It appears they had lived in Tsuyete, Hungary. Janos was born about 1877 or so and married Mary about 1901, Mary was born about 1882 in Tzuyete Hungary. The town name could also be Izuyete. They may have considered their country Austria back then but I am not sure. One one paper the town they lived in is listed as Iznyete Czechoslovakia and the nameis spelled Lizanics and Mary could be Speniak, Spenik, or Speniock or anything close. They settled in Duryea, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Janos came to America first and then Maria or Mary came over in 1909 on the SS Rotterdam from Rotterdam. She had a little girl named Barbala or Barbola. Barbala was about age 2 when they came over and Maria was about age 28 from what I can tell. I had received any email a while ago from someone with the last name of Lizanec or something close but when I replied their email address was not valid. After the fall of A-H empire several new countries were formed and one was Czechoslovakia which in 1993 separated into Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. There is a Janos Lizanecz that is Magyar and from Izsmjete (close to your spelling). Correct spelling would be Izsnyete. This village falls into Bereg megye and is now in Ukraine. Rákóczy Zsigmond 1592. március 5-én adott Lizanecz Ferenc, Márton és Mihálynak kenézséget a végből, hogy a falut benépesitsék. 1649-ben találtatott itt 17 jobbágy, 33 fiu, 9 ló, 32 ökör, 6 tinó, 31 tehén, 186 juh, 41 sertés és 25 méhkas. - 1672-ben volt a kenéz Bencsovics Mihály, kinek e kiváltságot Báthori Zsófia fejedelemné 1666 évben adta.
