Julie: Marcinko Paul or Paulus
I am looking for anyone related to Paul Marcinko, originally of Kudlocz or Kudlovce, Zemplen, d. 1942 in Lansford, Pennsylvania, U.S.A., married 1902 to Maria Oracko of Jasenov or Jeszeno, Zemplen.
The old 1910 Hungarian megye / county map is at :
http://lazarus.elte.hu/hun/maps/1910 click on Zemplen
The two mentioned villages are in the old Zemplen / Zemplin county and in Slovak Republic.
http://mapy.atlas.sk
Both of the villages were incorporated into the town of
Humenne. The name MARCINKO does list in Humenne's phone book but ORAC'KO lists mostly in Spis region in Holumnica, Poprad,Strane pod Tatrami and more.
The Slovak Republic's phone book is at :

I have a Paul Marcinko linked to my family born in Kudlovce Dec. 16, 1873.
Do you have any other information on him?
This is an old message from 2003 so I don't know if you are checking this or not but if so please email me at wagenfour and I can give you more information on this name. My ancestors including my mom was born in Kudlovce and I have quite a few records on this town.

Since I was notified about your post, I am sure the original poster was too, as long as the e-mail address is the same. She has yet to post a reply to me.
Hi, I don't check this e-mail often. Debbie, I think that we could be talking about the same Paul, but I don't know my Paul's birthdate. Do you know any other details of his life?
I am looking for my great-grandfather, John Marcinko, who I believe was from Spisska Magura. His birthdate would be approximately 1865 and he was married to Mary Joseph, both are listed as being from Austria.
You need a precise place of birth in "Spisska Magura" which would suggest the Spis region of Slovak Republic.
Surname MARCINKO does show up in area code 052 and 053 which would cover the Spis region.

Saw the post about relative of Pal marczinko born in Kudlovce.
I have info of a Pal Marczinko who died 1830 in Kudlovce. He was married to Maria Csisamar.
They had two children Pal born Dec. 16th. 1873 and Jan born May 13th 1871 in Kudlovce and died in Illinois.
If Dick would like to get in contact with me he can email me at wagenfour -k-u-k-a-c- aol.com -p-o-n-t- I have done extensive research on Kudlovce and perhaps can help him with info on his name.
I also have a picture of Kudlovce of the homes there that someone took for me while visiting there.
