I know Oberle and Merzendorf are related but I never connected it. Can you tell me how they are connected? Names in my tree are Peter, and Jacob Merzendorf. 	Emb0: Re: Oberle Ellis Island passenger list for 1 Dec 1905 (SS Slavonia) for my grandfather's older sister, Anna Bencsetler from Jahrmarkt, says her destination is brother-in-law Josef Oberle, 954 Laurent (? hard to read) St., Philadelphia. Anna was single at the time but married Andrew Greif from Jahrmarkt the next year. The family stayed in the Philadelphia and southern New Jersey area for many years. I currently have no Oberle people in my family tree database, so I'd be interested in learning how exactly Anna was related to the Oberle family.
