I am trying to find information about the Kaszó family originating from Maráramos varm. Szatmár area.
The place is named Kaszó-Polyána 1882, but I found out that it used to be called Kaszó-Pojana (!), and before 1700 it was called Kasso Pojana.
I found it had a secret status as the ownership of Kasso pojana was connected to János Hunyadi aswel as to Mathyas v. Habsburg and as Árpádok. And to Técső.
The dominiation was an opidium Kapolna and the owner had the status of free nobleman, báró (barones in liber regio) and from ca. 1700-on gróf (comites in liber regio).
Also I found that the place is connected to the Károlyi family.
Does anyone know more about this all ?
I have traced my ancesters there unto the 15th-century (1500-ben zsd)
