My grandmother was Rose Pasztor my grandfather was Stephen Turscak. They moved to Delray Michigan in the early 1900's. My grandmother Rose went to Sarud in 1968 to visit her family but never went back.

Is this your Gyula PASZTOR arriving thru Ellis Island in 1908? www.ellisislandrecords.org but his father's name is Istvan.
The town of Turterebes, Ugocsa megye,Hungary is now Turulung, Romania.
SSDI http://ssdi.rootsweb.com is listing several Julius PASZTOR / PASTOR but none born in 1887.
You should locate another piece of paper to make sure that he was born in Turterebes.

Hello. I am looking for information on Pasztors in present day Cluj, Romania. My great grandfather, Istvan Pasztor (4 Dec 1874) and his wife, Ilona Balogh (21 Oct 1885) immigrated to the US in 1905 and 1906. Last place of residence is listed as Torda, although my grandfather says his father is from Kolozsvar (now Cluj Napoca).

Istvan had 2 sisters (Vilma & Rozika), and 4 brothers (Arpad and Julius are the only names my grandfather remembered).

Any information or help is appreciated.

Manasa: looking for Pásztors from Budapest

Hi, I am looking for information about my father's family from Budapest. My father's name was Ferencz Pásztor, he was born in 1905. He had a twin brother called Laszlo and at least 3 or 4 more siblings. My grandparent's names were Moricz and Karolina Pásztor; they both died in the 1930s. I think Ilona & Erzsebet could have been born around 1960 to Julianna, possibly in Tatabanya or Tok where Julianna was born. Julianna's twin Rozalia married Hazag Zsigmond & went to live in Budapest, they have at least one son, Istvan. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sz Mihaly I found ,after 1941,only one Pasztor Imre.
He dide in 1947.
It is bizzare: he dont have parents name,age when he dide.
Nothing.
Can be possibil: the new communist activist kill him.
He is the only one withouth this data.

But Pasztor Istvan have brothers-sisters in Kolozsvar at this time,1941 ?

I put this picture in here of Pŕsztor Istvan , because I was hoping that maybe he was familiy of someone, this photograph was taken in Cleveland, Ohio. 1941 Szept 14.
The first person in the first row starting from the left is Sandor Par [my grandfather], sitting next to him is Stefŕn Andrŕs, then Pŕzstor Istvŕn, 1918-ban volt eln. I think it means, that is the time they joined the Hungarian Club? I looked in the marriage records where I found an Pŕsztor Istvan who married a Tachach Mary. I don't know if this is him.

Quitw some time ago you responded to my inquiry about my grand parents. I appreciate your assistance and have not been able to continue my search until recently. I know that my grand father Julius (Gulya) Pasztor arrived at Ellis Island in 1908 aboard the ship Carpathian along with his uncle Stephen. That is as far as I have gotten thus far. I hope to continue now until I exhaust all avenues of information. Both my grand parents were from Turtebes Hungary and came to the US within a couple years of each other. Her name was Elizabeth Budai. Thank you for your assistance.

The stamp looks like it is 1935. It is listed as 12 Feb. -935--, with the city as Turda. They used one 10 Lei stamp to send it to the US, so the date seems right?
