Your Georg married Josepha Klein 14 October 1857 in Doroslov. The church marriage record shows:
Georg Kaman, age 40, living at house # 168 in Doroslov, widower of Rosalia Rohnbacher.
Josepha Klein, age 26 years, living at house # 159 in Doroslov, widow of Ludovici Karatsony.
Witnesses: Jozsef Angyal and Ereric Gyurgyovits. Ceremony performed by Fr. Jozsef Torma.
The church marriage record for 4 February 1840 for Georg Kaman and Rozalia Rohbacher shows Georg to be the son of the deceased Georg Kaman and Eva Farkas.
The family name was variously spelling Kaman, Kamany, Kemeny, and Kalman. I believe the changes from Kaman were from the Magyarization of names of old German settler families. Grandpa always said the family name was changed.
I would be the 2nd great-grand niece of your Georg who married Josepha. |
