the surname of my fathers mother, who was born in Southwest-Bohemia (Czech Republic) around 1880 and lived/died in Vienna around 1940, was PLASCHKO. Two brothers of her father emigrated to the U.S. around the 1880'ies: ANTON PLASCHKO and ERNEST PLASCHKO. Their name later was written as PLASHKO. As far as I have found out there have been families with such surnames not only in Czechoslovakia or Austria but also in Southeast-Poland and in Hungary. At the first look PLASHKO and PLACSKO seem to different that any relationship can be expected between them. I still thought that my information could maybe help you.
