	mataplathy Hello, I would like to meet anyone with the last name Plathi or Plathy; this is my mother's maiden surname and it appears to be her grandmother's name, who arrived in Venezuela from Europe in the late 1800's. It seems that the spelling of my great-grandmother was Plathi, and she only had one son (my grandfather) and died when he was 7 years old. We do not know what part of Europe she came from but the surname then changed to Plathy in Venezuela when some of my aunts and uncles were born. In Venezuela, only my mother, her 8 brothers and sisters, and their descendants have the last name Plathy or Plathi.
